Chainsaw Bars come in different shapes and sizes. A chainsaw bar's cutting length is different from its overall length.
The cutting length is the distance from the front of the saw to the tip of the bar including the chain rounded to the nearest inch.
The cutting length is used in the selector guide to describe the bars that are available for your saw.
