At HOMESPARES we have two types of Cooker Hood Grease Filter.
The first is a really early type of Grease filter which is manufactured from Recycled Bottles. Its cheap and it does the job.
The second type is a product we introduced into the UK back in the 1980's which is a thinner cut to size filter with a special indicator that 'bleeds' red when it needs to be changed. We still stock the original, though there are inferior copies available!
Grease filters should really be changed at least once every 6 months. This is of course dependent on usage.
We recommend the UNI500 and UNI501 Grease filters in our Unifit by homespares Range. Really attractive, environmentally packaged products which are really informative with all the information and accessories to complete the replacement in a very clean way.
